Let’s learn how to reassign a device from one agent to another agent. To learn how to assign devices to agents, visit Setting Up Agents in the Admin Dashboard.
Remove the Device from the Current Agent
1. Navigate to Configuration > Calls > Agent.
2. Select the agent whose assigned device you want to reassign, and click Configure.
3. In the Update Agent modal, change the Device Type from Deskphone to another option, such as Softphone, Number, or Mobile. (You can choose multiple device types.)
4. After unchecking the Deskphone option, a Device Change Confirmation pop-up will appear. Click Proceed to continue.
5. In the Active Device section, choose the same device setup.
6. Click Update.
Assign the Device to Another Agent
1. Choose the agent you want to assign the device and click Configure.
2. In the Update Agent modal, select Deskphone as the device type. You can also select multiple device types if needed.
3. From the Device drop-down menu, select the device that was unassigned from the previous agent earlier.
4. In the Active Device section, choose the same device setup.
5. Click Update to save the changes.
