Let's check out how to configure allocated and unallocated Phone Numbers in the VoiceStack admin application.
Edit an Existing Main or Campaign Number
1. Navigate to Configuration > Calls > Phone Numbers.
2. The Phone Numbers screen displays a list of all registered Phone Numbers.
3. Refer to the table columns and descriptions below.

Descriptions |
| Phone Number | Displays a list of phone numbers registered in the system. |
| Call Source | Indicates the origin or entity associated with the phone number. |
| Call Source Type | Defines the status of the call source, currently marked as "Unpaid" for all entries. |
| Created On | This shows the date and time when the phone number was added to the system. |
| Last Update | Displays the most recent timestamp of when any updates or modifications were made to the phone number’s details. |
| Location | Specifies the geographical location tied to the phone number (e.g., "Manchester," "Wales"). |
| Status | Indicates whether the phone number is "Active". |
| Action | Provides a "Configure" option, suggesting that users can modify or manage the phone number settings. |
| Tip: You can view Main Numbers and Campaign Numbers separately in their respective tabs. |
4. Select the Main Numbers or Campaign tab as needed
5. Click Configure on the intended number.
| Note: In the Campaigns tab, you can only configure for Static numbers. You can click View to see more information about dynamic numbers. |
6. Edit the required details.
| Note: For a campaign number, you can set the phone number to be forwarded to. |
7. Click Save.
Filters and Download
- You can filter the phone numbers by:
- Location
- Status
- Source
- To download the list of phone numbers as a .csv file format, click Export CSV.
Configure an Unallocated Phone Number
Here are the step-by-step instructions to edit an unallocated Phone Number:
1. Select the Unallocated tab.
2. Click Configure.
3. Specify all of the following details:
- Source Name: Field to define the origin of the number.
- Location: Dropdown to assign a geographical location.
- Status: Dropdown to set Active/Inactive status.
- Time Zone: Select the timezone of the phone number.

Number Type: Choose if the number is a Main number or a Campaign.
- If Campaign is selected, select the Campaign Type and the number for call forwarding (Forward To).
- Specify your working business hours: Section to define availability slots.
- Add Slot: Button to add business hours for each day.
- Voicemail Box: Section for voicemail settings.
- Play audio for voicemail: Option to select voicemail audio.
- Audio: Choose a voicemail recording.
- Send to: Dropdown to assign voicemail destination.
4. Click Save to confirm the changes.
