The Provisioning Profile in the VoiceStack Admin App is a mandatory step for Hot Desking, allowing you to view, set up, and manage agent profiles. Once you create an agent and enable Deskphone and Hot Desking in device settings, you can proceed with provisioning.
Create Provisioning Profile
1. Navigate to Configuration > General Settings > Provisioning Profile.
2. Locate the agent for whom you want to create a provisioning profile and check their status.
3. If the Status shows Profile Pending, click View.
4. Click Create Profile.
5. Enter the necessary details such as the Profile Name, Location, and Button Configuration. You can also use Clone From to copy settings from an existing profile.
6. Click Publish.
7. The profile Status appears as Inactive. Enable the toggle to activate it.
8. The Status changes to In-Progress.
| Note: The Profile will be fully activated after you log in to a hot–desking–enabled desk phone. |
To Change Password
1. Find the agent for whom you want to change the password
2. Click Change Password
3. In the Change Password modal, type your new password and click Update.
| Tip: Use the Change Password option promptly if credentials are compromised. |
Additional Options
- Search Bar: Use the search bar to find agents for profile provisioning.
- Auto Provisioning URL: While registering your device, use the copy icon to copy the auto-provisioning URL.
- Refresh Button: Use the refresh button in the top-right corner to update the displayed list of agents and their status.
| Note: Ensure profile statuses are marked as Done before assigning tasks for the agents. |
