Let's check out how to configure, update, or remove Ring Groups in VoiceStack.
Create a New Ring Group
Here are the step-by-step instructions to create a new Ring Group:
1. Navigate to Configuration > Calls > Ring Group.
- The Ring group screen is displayed. You can view all the existing ring groups on this screen. You can narrow down the search using the Filter by.
2. Click the Create Ring Group button.
- The Create Ring Group pop-up screen is displayed.
3. Specify the following details on the pop-up screen:
- Name: Provide a descriptive name for the ring group.
- Location: Choose the appropriate location for the group.

Select the dial routing pattern: This is the call routing selection. Set preferences for call distribution within the group.
The possible values are:- Round Robin: The dial occurs in the pre-set order of agents.
- Priority: The dial occurs based on the priority of the agent list set up.
- Simultaneous: The dial occurs to all the added agents at a time.
- Longest Waiting Time: Calls are routed to the agent who has been idle for the longest time.
- Timeout: The dial time for each call.
- Add Device/Extension: Add all the devices or extensions that need to be mapped to this device.
4. Click Create to add the ring group.
- The created ring group is displayed on the Ring Group screen.
Update an Existing Ring Group
1. Locate the ring group to be updated from the listing table.
2. Click Edit under the Action column. The Update Ring Group pop-up screen is displayed.
3. Specify the changes in the pop-up screen:
4. Click Update to save the changes. The updated ring group is displayed on the Ring Group screen.
Remove a Ring Group
1. Locate the ring group to be deleted from the listing table.
2. Click Delete. A confirmation to delete the ring group is displayed.
